Why marbles? Well, that's a good question.
My son asked me the other day as he was playing with one of my marbles, "What are marbles made out of?"
"Glass," I answered.
"Then why don't they break when I drop them?"
"They could break if they were under a lot of pressure but they won't break when you drop them. They're strong." Strong like me. Strong like you.
Sure a breakup feels like you're being dropped. It feels like it could break you, but it can't. We're round and intricate and strong.
The other thing I love about the marbles of this breakup is that each day there's a new marble, a new experience, a new insight. When you examine a marble, you can focus on the design (what's going on), and you can also see through the marble to what's on the other side. Marbles remind me that all is layered.
